Split systems
Most split systems can be modified by the owner.
If you require an A.C.D.A. member to provide this service, type your suburb post code or name in the “Search For a Member” section at the top right hand side of this page, then contact the A.C.D.A. member or members listed in your area.
Most A.C.D.A. members will treat this as a service call, charging a call out fee and then will do the work at an hourly rate, all of which may vary from member to member.
The average call out fee to confirm that conversion can be done will be approximately $90.00 plus GST. Works would be carried out an hourly rate of approximately $70.00 plus GST per hour and take around one (1) to two (2) hours.
There will be some parts involved, such as the valves, hose etc., costing around $30.00 plus GST.
Estimated Costs Split Systems: $195.00 plus GST (subject to confirmation by an A.C.D.A. Member)
Ducted Systems
The same comments apply for ducted systems as per split systems, however the amount of time taken may be slightly longer and there would be a slightly higher cost of materials used.
Estimated Costs Ducted Systems: $295.00 plus GST (subject to confirmation by an A.C.D.A. Member)
